This week we will highlight our ongoing efforts to improve the way we bring properties to market here in the Cayman Islands. The Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association (CIREBA) continues to constantly seek to upgrade its MLS features for our membership of companies. The latest feature we have added is called “Broker Reciprocity”. Currently, member companies are only allowed to advertise their own listings on their respective websites. We feel that this way of doing things is antiquated. This new feature will change this and simultaneously enable members to more efficiently work together. The “Broker Reciprocity” feature will allow CIREBA member companies to now place the other member company’s listings on their websites.
As they say in business, “some conditions will apply”. The first condition is that the shared land and property listings must state “Broker Reciprocity” on them. The second condition is that the member who has the listing to be shared must approve the other member company before adding it to their website listings. This new feature will be advantageous to the Vendors/Owners of a property as now their listings will have the possibility of being advertised on an additional 33 real estate websites. This broadens the reach of their property listing exponentially.“Broker Reciprocity” also allows potential purchasers to see more properties when visiting a member’s website and we all have seen the advantages of increased visibility. This type of sharing is widely done in the United States and other countries and will be a valuable asset to CIREBA members.
One of our most important goals at CIREBA is to address the needs of the membership while simultaneously working hard for the Vendors to bring them successful property sales. This new feature dually accomplishes both. In the spirit of camaraderie, solidarity with the members and positive partnerships – I welcome all of the CIREBA member companies to add Cayman Luxury Property Group using the new “Broker Reciprocity” feature. It is my hope that this new feature rollout will be a success and together we can all do more to promote real estate in these Cayman Islands.
