The fourth marathon for Derek Haines is now complete! He finished the long race in San Francisco in 4 hours and 42 seconds.
Well done! Another marathon down in the series of 6 marathons set to be run by Derek, totaling over 156 miles. He has undertaken this amazing feat in an effort to raise $1 Million Dollars for a new facility for the Cayman Hospice Care. Derek has committed to running six marathons having completed 4 to reach this impressive goal!
It’s full steam ahead as Derek prepares for this upcoming marathon set in Dublin in October. The entire Cayman Community is standing behind Derek, ensuring this important challenge is successful. So far, a total of $700,000. has been raised for Cayman Hospice Care, with only two races left to go. Derek will run his exhilarating final race in Cayman on home turf. The Cayman Marathon is slated for December 2014, and will be 28.2 miles long. Stay tuned for more details on this important fundraising effort!
